Snowed In, 3 minutes and 15 seconds, Super 8 to 2K, silent, 2019
Snowed In is a black and white Super 8 film that documents the conditions of being stuck indoors from a winter snowstorm in January of 2019. This film shows a range of domestic tasks and traits from the interior of the house to cat sightings, eating and watching television. These claustrophobic settings are juxtaposed by cautious observations at the outside blizzard conditions. Snowed In shows the rituals we resort to when stuck indoors. This feeling is encapsulated in the ending which shows a timelapse view of the artist collaging in front of the TV soap opera Young and the Restless.
