European Trip follows a three week trip through three Mediterranean countries in August 2018. Embracing the roots of Super 8 filmmaking as a home movie and travelogue format, this film shows familiar sights of vacation. However, in this film, the iconic landmarks are minimised leaving only glimpses of urban exploration, doorways and the reoccuring portraits of the filmmaker’s childhood friends, Noah Gotlib and Daniel Brlas. This trip took the trio to the destinations of Venice (Italy), Pula, Baška, Vrbnik, Zagreb (Croatia), Novi Sad and Belgrade (Serbia). European Trip looks back to the origins of small gauge filmmaking while simultaneously expressing an artistic vision.
