Bike Ride, 2 minutes, Super 8 to 2K, silent, 2018
Bike Ride is a journey from the top of the Davenport Escarpment to the Toronto Islands. The ride is part of an annual summer outing with my dad to the Islands and always follows the same route: through Wychwood Park, down Spadina and along the waterfront to the ferry, around the Islands and then back home. In this film, familiar sights, cars, traffic and pedestrians are reduced to fleeting glimpses. Bike Ride chronicles what the bicycle witnesses.
